Land Clearing Project in Petersburg, TN

About this project

Reclaiming a fence row in Petersburg

This land clearing project took place in Petersburg, Tennessee, a small community in Lincoln County and part of the area we serve from our Fayetteville home base. The job centered on a fence row that had grown up over the years, a common problem on rural and agricultural property, where brush, briars, and saplings slowly take over a boundary line until the fence and the ground around it disappear into the overgrowth.

We cleared the fence row using forestry mulching, which grinds the brush and small growth into a mulch layer right where it stands. There is no burning, no piles of debris to haul off, and very little disturbance to the soil. The result is a clean, open boundary with the ground along it usable again, and the cleared material left behind as mulch rather than removed.

The before photo shows how thick the fence line had become. The after photo shows it opened back up: a clear, defined boundary that is easy to access, maintain, and see. For farms and rural property, keeping fence rows clear is not just about appearance, it makes the land easier to work, keeps boundaries defined, and stops overgrowth from creeping further into usable acreage.

Fence row clearing is one of the everyday jobs we handle across Petersburg and the surrounding Lincoln County communities. If you have a fence line, field edge, or boundary that has grown over, this is the clean, low-impact way to take it back, and the kind of result you can expect.
