Land clearing in Belfast, done the clean way

This land clearing project took place in Belfast, Tennessee, a small community in Lincoln County, not far from our Fayetteville home base. Like a lot of rural property in this part of the county, the land had grown up over the years with brush, saplings, and overgrowth that left it crowded and hard to use.

We cleared the property using forestry mulching, a low-impact approach that grinds brush and small trees into a fine mulch right where they stand. There is no burning, no hauling off truckloads of debris, and far less disturbance to the soil than traditional clearing methods. The material that is cleared stays on the ground as a mulch layer, breaks down naturally, and returns organic matter to the soil instead of being removed.

The before photos show how overgrown the property had become. The after photos show the result: clean, open ground, free of the brush and tangle that had taken over, and ready to be put back to use. Whether the goal is grazing, recreation, a building site, or simply reclaiming usable acreage, the land is left in a condition the owner can actually work with.
